Welcome back to Simple Man Entertainment and the Top 12 results show post. Since this is Thanksgiving Day today I will try to make this post short and sweet so you all can watch football, drink lotsa beers, and have fun at your one annoying relative’s expense.

Last night saw the departure of one more guy and gal from the show and this season’s Top 10 dancers secure their spots in the back half of the competition. The results were just as we thought they would be and we think the Top 10 is a fabulous lineup too.

As usual the judges lead by Nigel Lythgoe made the selections for the bottom three couples who wound up being Victor and Karen, Nathan and Mollee, and Ryan and Ellenore. These three couples would have to dance for their lives.

After the three bottom couples were announced we were treated to a wonderful ballet performance by American Ballet Theaters very own Paloma Herrera. Paloma danced a wonderful routine to the song Kitri’s Variation (The Fan) from Don Quixote.

After the ballet performance was completed we saw all three couples perform their solos. As usual I was impressed by Mollee’s solo performance, which the judges said was what competing in this competition looked like. Nathans solo was very strong as well. The other four solos ranged from not so good too good for the other two couples.

After the solo routines were completed we got to see the second guest performer who happened to be Shakira. Shakira performed her new single “Give It Up To Me”. Shakira performed with her dance troupe and definitely rocked the crowd. On a personal note though I like her older stuff better than her new, but that is just my opinion.

After Shakira’s performance it was time for the judges to make this weeks cut. They were unanimous on the girls cut, but not on the guys cut. For the ladies they cut Karen and for the guys they cut Victor, which is just what we expected. However Nigel informed Nathan that if he had his way that he (Nathan) would have gone home last night.
